Tru Check Early Cancer Screening Blood Tests is a diagnostic blood test that can distinguish up to 70 types of solid cancer tumours. It can identify the type of cancer and organ affected by checking for Circulation Tumour Cells. This is a new development in the UK and gives patients a better prognosis by catching cancers early on. Furthermore, you will not be on a long waiting list for the test. Results will be with you within 2-3 weeks.
Once you book a test, a physician will make a pre-consultation telephone call. This will be to gather information on your medical health, and to discuss the test procedure with yourself. At the clinic a phelobotamist will collect a blood sample in our test kits and send it off to our labs. Home visits are also an option if preferred.
If a positive result is found, a physician will call to discuss the results, and guide you on the next steps. The results will be available to download for you to take to your GP.
If a negative result is found it means that at this time the test was unable to identify any cancer cells circulating in the blood from the list of cancers it can identify from.
